Nebraska Waterfowl Day Hunts

New for the 2020 fall season is that we will be headed to Nebraska to operate both on the Niobrara and North Platte Rivers for duck and goose hunting. It will feel good to get back to home roots and to hunt these two river systems.

Unlike our Manitoba hunts where we are setting up in a different field location daily, and are pretty much into strong shoots every day. Much of this hunt will bank on dealing with migrating birds as well as the amount of local waterfowl in the general area.  For those traveling from out-of-state, I will be able to let you know which city to be flying into, as well in due time help in locating areas to chase upland birds if so wished.

For those that know me, you realize I will be going at this with both barrels loaded, and will plan a very professional setup with quality blinds and decoys. Lodging will be based out of either a rented house, bed and breakfast or nearby hotels on the western setup near Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Water hunting has always been a passion of mine, and it will feel great to get a set of chest waders on and actually hunt 'weather' that makes us feel like we are ‘waterfowling.’

Persons will be responsible for their own lodging, lunches and supper meals with breakfast being made in the blind. I will be able to help with organizing the lodging. Daily hunts will be at the cost of $200 US per hunter.  I also plan on having a site where hunters can follow our daily success, as well as being ‘on call’ for days that I anticipate strong shoots.
